Fandaniel is sadistic, nihilistic, manipulative, and generally enjoys rubbing people the wrong way. He is also dangerously suicidal. His desire to destroy himself and all humanity is portrayed in fantastical ways but a lot of weight is given to his despair. He wants to die and stay dead. This despair and existential horror is a pervasive theme with him that will be hard to avoid with consistent CR. While Endwalker does end on a note of profound hope, Fandaniel's throughline in the story is one of hopelessness in the face of suffering. It may be coming from a video game but I have known people who needed to step back from FFXIV to fully process what Endwalker was saying. It gets heavy. I can perfectly understand if people don't want to deal with these themes in their RP.
